Response to Sine and Random Vibration Equivalence

Sine sweep has only one frequency at a time.

Random has many even 200 or more frequencies at a time.

So reliability test cannot be equated.

However, grms = sq root (PSD x Frequency Range )

So you get the grms and multiply by crest factor and you get g-pk for Sine. This can be equated only to 1 bin of the random spectra and not the whole.
