Response to Double amplitude

That phrase "double amplitude" is rather confusing. If discussing sine vibration displacement, many engineers use D. Then D = 2X, where X is the usual zero-to-peak displacement. When discussing sine vibration velocity and acceleration, most engineers use zero-to-peak V and zero-to-peak A. When we report measurements or write test plans, we must be very clear about what units we are using. The recipient might be thinking RMS. Errors can result.
