To increase natural frequency

We have got a 1mtrX1mtrX50mm magnesium slip table whose resonance is observed to be somewhere in between 900 Hz to 1kHz. As our testing area of interest is in the frequency band of 800-1500 Hz, we need to increase the resonance of the slip table to somewhere around 1.8kHz. Can anyone suggest whether how we can increase the natural frequency to the desired level?
