Work Experience
- 23 years experience in the Environmental Mechanical Engineering discipline with emphasis on the mechanical principles: stress and strain, bending modes, etc.
Major Responsibilities: Vibration, shock testing and primary function of the operation of mechanical testing devices; shakers, shock machines, accelerometers, controllers and software associated with the controllers. (Electro-dynamic, electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical. The use of tri-axial shakers and IMPAC Drop-shock) testing.
- Experience in operating tests to military specifications ASTM, SAE, (MIL-STD-167, MIL-STD-901, MIL-STD-810) Vibration and shock tests; Random, RoR, Sine on Random, Break point sine, shock, and HALT testing etc
- Good communication skills and an ability to multitask by supporting many projects at once.
- Resourceful, self-motivated and mechanically adept in supporting a variety of activities
Skills
Experience in providing useful advice to project personnel during all design stages of a product
Able to suggest proper corrective action when difficulties occur during testing.
Familiarity with other Environmental testing, for example, EMI, Climatic Environmental
Testing.
Familiarity with structure borne and airborne noise testing per MIL-STD-740
Familiarity with digital vibration controllers (such as: Unholtz-Dickie VWIN, MTS Electro-
Hydraulic, LMS software, Dactron Controller and Office 2000 and Micro Soft operating system 2000,XP. Writing test plans and technical manuals, interpreting test results, troubleshooting test setups, analyzing product anomalies and writing clear, accurate reports.
