In case of voltages :
no. of dB = 20 log (E/Eo) where Eo is the reference
e.g 6dB of 2 'g' will be 4g and -6 dB will be 1 g
In case of power :
no. of dB = 10 log (P/Po)
e.g 6 dB of 0.01 g*g/Hz is 0.04
