An Electrodynamic Shaker operates on the principle similar to that of a speaker wherein :
Magnet = Field Coil to generate Magnetic Field
Diaphragm = Drive Coil
Audio = Sine, Random , Shock etc. signal
The Drive Coil is suspended in the magnetic fiedl generated by the field coil and when a current flows in the drive coil, the drive coil (which is also the Shaker head) experiences a force as per the law ...
F = BIL
where F is the force generated
B is the magnetic field
I is the current
L is the length of the coil.
