Hi Guys,

I would greatly appreciate if you could give me some ideas to tackle a vibration problem a project requires me to work on.

A little air compressor pump creates vibration when running. I am supposed to come up with some suggestions for mounting specifications. The specific issues are:

1. Minimization of vibration transmission to bench/table/foor where it may be mounted.
2. Minimization of motion of the output stub where a pipe will be connected.

I have access to the following equipment:
- accelerometers
- impact hammer
- tachometer to measure the pump's speed
-data physics pc-based data capture and dynamic analysis systems

Anybody some ideas?

Thanks very much in advance.

Jay
