Response to fore-aft testing in vertical orientation

If Anon2 will e-mail me, I'll send him a pdf of page 307 so he can identify whether his fixture is represented by Figure 26-10, showing an "ell" or "bookend" fixture.

He really needs the entire Chapter 26 "Attaching Test Articles to Shakers," part of the text "Random Vibration & Shock Testing," ISBN 0-9741466-0-9, described at http://www.vibrationandshock.com/book.htm.

Steve Brenner will use that text + much of his own material at Easton, Pennsylvania October 22-24. His short course is described at http://www.equipment-reliability.com/course6.htm. Can Anon2 arrange to attend?

Control accelerometer location is very important to test outcome. It should be as close as possible to the device being tested.
