The larger the test article, the larger the slide table, the farther the control accels are apart, the greater the difference in accel response. It's not uncommon to get greater than 10% difference in a large test setup. The theory of average control is that somewhere in the center of the test setup you will see the correct test level. Try putting 1 accel near the shaker and one far from the shaker about 3' apart on a bare 4' slide table and you will get greater than a 10% difference in Grms. |
