Response to HALT Lab Services in Ventura County

/////"Shaped Vibration Profile" (NAVMAT P-9492) was not applicable to a procedure that had six degrees of freedom\\\\\\
The lab is likely to be stating that a six degree of freedom chamber (typical HALT chamber) does not have the control capabilities to run a NAVMAT P-9492 profile. (True!)
More important, it is important for a company like yours to understand what the NAVMAT document is actually saying when it describes a method for developing an effective screen. The "NAVMAT" profile is presented in the document, but the document also states that the profile should not be considered an effective screen for all electronics. Environmental Stress Screens, in order to be effective at finding flaws and non-damaging to good hardware, should be developed based on product details - customized to the product. (This is stated in the document, but might be missed on first read)
