Thanks for stopping by. In the next year this site will have this to offer to all you VenomsFans out there:
Hundreds of pictures from their famous movies!
Video and Audio downloads!
Movie Reviews!
Trading Information and the latest news on the Shaw Bros. DVD releases!
A place to meet other VenomsFans out on the web!
Any questions, thoughts, pictures or comments - just email them here.
Well it has been exactly 1 year that this website has launched. To recap the past year and what I initially sought out to do:
Hundreds of pictures from their famous movies!
Over 350 still images from our favorite movies. 1/2 way through the year I introduced flash movies to animate the wepages a little bit. You VenomsFans too have contributed a great deal by emailing me rare photos and even posting them here on the messageboard here yourself!
Video and Audio downloads!
This is an understatement. So many clips on this site. Initially started off with "showstopper video clips". We even got a chance to see for the first time rare clips from some of the hard to find VenomsFilms ( Such as Sword Stained w/Royal Blood and Legend of the Fox). Later I started posting original Shaw Trailers Five Deadly Venoms, Chinatown Kid, Kid with the Golden Arm, 10 Tiger of Kwangtung and Flag of Iron for some of the VenomsFilms - so the fans could get an idea of what the films were like before they bought them. I even took the liberty of making my own Fansite Trailer for Killer Army! I'd have to say that the most popular download is the Chiang Sheng Tribute - and with good reason to.
Movie Reviews! Trading Information and the latest news on the Shaw Bros. DVD releases & a place to meet other VenomsFans out on the web!
Probably the highlight of all these things was the Magnificent Ruffians DVD. Not just the DVD but the actual process of how it came to be. Really dedicated fans shared with me knowledge of the cut scenes version available. Couple this with good trading contacts and alot of helpful posts on this message board - the DVD became a reality.
Thanks to all those VenomsFans - new and old - who have contributed to the site by visiting, posting, and even sending along emails. 24,000 hits and climbing. When you search "Five Deadly Venoms" in search engines it's in the top 2-5. I've always seen this site as a resource for people to learn more about the Venoms or to rekindle old flames they may have as VenomsFans long before the internet was around!
Thanks again for everything,
VenomsFan

And more to come. Some of last year we had issues with server space. And it seems like nothing came of the Venoms Convention. Alot of talk but little actually became of it after all the excitement.
On my end, I plan on adding more sections including articles, some movie reviews of the full frame releases and some new Fan DVDs if luck should be in our favor. Long live the Venoms.
Today I'm having a Venoms marathon - watching alot of films and writing reviews/capturing stills. I'll be hanging around the forum today if anyone's looking for me.
Just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks to the VenomsFans!! Your conribution at the forum, as well as trading info has helped this website a great deal. Specifically, thanks goes to (no specific order):
1. Josie
2. tidlongkuen
3. Scorpion
4. Akim
5. Terry
6. victimblue
7. Chiang Sheng Fan
The site wouldn't be near what it is today without your help, suggesstions and assistance! I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Thank YOU for creating, maintaining, and being devoted to this site and the venoms! All of us fans are more appreciative of this site than you can imagine! LONG LIVE THE FANSITE!
The way I see it is this is a discussion forum. So let's disacuss anything and everything related to the Venoms! It's here for us to exchange information and thoughts about some of the greatest the martial arts/action genre has ever seen! So this is something I do not take lightly. I, too, share my opinion, mere speculation. Who knows if any of us are right or wrong?! Besides, I think it's good for people NOT to share the popular opinion. Let's mix it up and debate! Nothing wrong with that. It's much better than having all this knowledge about the Venoms and reading through all these messages but never really having the courage to post (which is what alot of fans end up doing).
So keep sharing and posting! All of it is greatly appreciated!
I am one of those whom you spoke of; I have been visiting this website/fansite for 6-8 months now reading the posts. There were times over the past months that I had thought about posting but didn't.
A couple of nights ago, I thought "What the hay; I'll run something up the flag pole and see who salutes." This being a "Venoms" fansite, I decided to post my opinion about Wei Pai and his relationship to the more popular "Venoms". I didn't state that I thought he was superior to any of the other "Venoms", just that I thought he may have been 'overlooked' as it were (or at least this is what I wanted to convey) and asked what other "Venoms" movies was he in.
To tell you the truth, your reply (Venomsfan) kinda caught me of guard. You came off pretty hostile in your opinion of Wei Pai. I got no problem with that because Wei Pai is NOT my favorite "Venom"; it's actually a tie between Lo Mang and Lu Feng. Wei Pai is not as dynamic or charismatic as the other "Venoms", he reminds me of David Chiang who is also sort of frail-like; however, I do think that David Chiang did a great job in "Deadly Mantis" (Shaolin Mantis"), too.
As I said, your opinion of Wei Pai differs from mine, and I can respect that. Just to tell you my opinion at the risk of attack from forum members of this fansite, Chiang Sheng is my least favorite "Venom". Sorry, but I'm just not into "cute" (I'm also not a big fan of Jackie Chan for the same reason)... but as I said that's just my opinion. I can't take anything away from Chiang Sheng (R.I.P.) because he has (had) great martial and acrobatic skills, and it's very sad how he died as he did.
Anyhow, after reading a couple of your posts regarding Wei Pai, I started to think that I'd didn't know if I wanted to participate in a forum with such a closed-minded forum-owner. I was glad to read your later post welcoming the new posters and they're differing opinions. It was obvious to me that you had a change of heart (but probably not about Wei Pai), I guess hind-sight is 20/20....
I really like the "Five Deady Venoms" and would like to learn more about the movie(s) and the actors. I look forward to visiting this fansite more often in the future, and hopefully I can contribute something from time-to-time.

"...for many men, just to hear of the name fills them with hate and loathing!"
The thing about differing opinions is we can learn from each other. I mean we all look at things with our own "lenses". It never hurts to clean them off once in awhile or even try on a new pair! Maybe the fact that we really don't know "why" Wei Pai didn't fit in has an impact on how we discuss that topic! He did a great job in Last Hurrah for Chivalry, as I mentioned, and I guess it's frustrating to not know why he didn't blossom with such talent earlier!
Most forums have people saying Yeah I agree! Blah. The thing that surprises me about you all is how you handle each other's comments. And perhaps sharing our differing views can bring about a new thing (Article about Wei Pai, for example).
Appreciate your posts and willingness to share with us all! Good stuff!
If you haven't already, please sign up to the Fansite mailing list. There will be updates and exclusive content in the newsletters that may not be featured on the site!
Thanks to our newest VenomsFan Trixie for the suggestion!
Well 4 years ago I started on a journey that I had no idea would end up like this. This last and final year was by far the most complete and involved of all. Let's recap:
Online Forever
More official, reliable web space to give the Fansite a more consistent and dependable footing for VenomsFans new and old!
Fansite DVD Mania
Started with Legend of the Fox Fansite DVD in February, Chinatown Kid Fansite DVD in March. DareDevils Fansite Re-Release in April. Rounding off the Fansite DVDs will be Flag of Iron and Killer Army Extended Fansite DVD editions at the end of this year.
Venoms Convention No More
Much excitement has led to nothing. Not enough money to get them to come to the convention. At least those 2 fans got a free plane ticket and a chance to take pictures with them out of it!
Five Venoms Video Game
Although the Doc and a gaming proposal was sent out this fall, we've yet to hear from their development team. It was still worth a try, and from what I hear; it may be something to look forward to in the near future.
Venoms SweepsWeek
This was a full week leading to the online release party of the Doc. Hundreds of rare lobby cards, links, reviews, movie stills and video clips. All about the Venoms!
Chatroom, Mailing Lists, and Discussion Forum
They were awesome this year! We've met many new fans this year thanks to the suggestions for improving these features on the site. Many fights, many laughs, and tons more new info the Venoms and their films!
Fists, Fangs and Film: Poison Clan Rocks the World Documentary
The highlight of the year for all VenomsFans. For 6 months (April 2004 - September 2004), all information in the world on the Venoms and their films were compiled into one film. Expect a review from a famous historian on this film in a future magazine article! Now fans have a DVD that brings the legacy of the Venoms altogether for them forever, and ever and ever AMEN!
And to this day, every day, there are new fans that find this site looking for more information on the Venoms. That's how I know I've done my part. That's how we know the Fandom lives on.
Thank you to all who have helped make this journey what it is today.
Thank you VenomsFan for giving us the best site on the net. You have always given the best information and pictures. You have always been here to answer questions and give advise. You also gave us a place to come and meet others who enjoy the Venoms films as much as we do. I have made so many friends here. I want to thank you for everything. Thank you too for the fansite dvd's. Each of them are a work of art and love. Everyone can see how much time and love and money you gave to keep the fansite going for us. But most of all thank you for being my friend. Talk to you soon.
Dou Jia VFan! (Thank You). The Venoms and the Venoms Fansite will NEVER be gone as long as the fans remember and support them. The Forum will still be up and thats good!
If you go to www.google.com and type in "five deadly venoms" and click the "I'm feeling lucky" button, the top search engine points directly to this site!
Congratulations VF, you were long over due for this honor. Any one who has a remote interest in the Venoms would be crazy not to start at this site and work your way down. Google is the big time. You certainly can't leave us now. You have a solemn duty to the world to be the light of knowledge to all who seek it! Think that's enough pressure.
Trix
We are working on an Internet Movie Database project with everything related to the Venoms. Hopefully, this information will help people worldwide who come to that site for more info on the Venoms - DVDs, photos, reviews, related links, etc. This site is a database in itself, so it should be a great addition to IMDB as we know it.
In December the Fansite will celebrate it's 5th year anniversary! A heads up the site will be getting some major updates in the months to come. It's been a long time coming.
Hey VF,
I'm happy to hear about the upcoming updates. You know us loyal fans have hoped that the site would never go away and you have kept your word. I miss us talking and laughing. Maybe the updates will bring some of that back again.
Trix

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I'm happy to see the site still up and hope to meet and reconnect with my brothers and sisters. Anyone order House of Traps yet. I've been waiting a very long time to get my hands on that one. Let's hear it. Where can I get a great copy?
Trixie
Venoms Fan,
I can't believe that it has been eight years! I'm happy to say that I've been around long enough to have met some of the greatest people the net has to offer! I hope everyone has a great holiday season and say a prayer for our venoms that have gone over to the other side. I still miss my Josie! God bless you all and hope to hear from you all soon.
Trix
Yes that would be great!!! I am a big fan of all the Shaw Brother actor and i would love to see what they have been up lately.I know a few of the have passed on, but it's still a lot of them left!!!!!!!!!
Just read through some of the old forum threads. Sounded like great fun, the kind of mutual support that really kept the fires burning. Pity I'm so late to the party!
Although geocities has closed down this year, the Fansite will manifest itself on the youtube channel. As always this forum will be open. And when we get some new server space, the content side of the website we have seen grown over a decade will be available once again.
