I just wanted to say hi to everone its been a few years since I have posted anything here, I try to keep in touch with Trix when I can but my boys keep me so busy now that they are growing up.
See ya all later
Chiang Sheng still rocks my world and always will
Boo! I'm another one back from the grave. Its been a crazy, crazy last year and a half or so for me too! Moved away, closed the school yet somehow retained all my students....NOW I've moved back, re-opened the school....(Don't ask...crazy times lately) Anyway a BIG HELLO! to Trix, Chiang Sheng fan, Lu Feng Fan, Gaus, V-Fan of course, and all the old crew.
Is Scorpion still around? I'll be checking in from now on more regularly. Hope everyone is doing well!
Hi Guys,
Been a while but so nice to see people still checking in to say hey. I miss you guys so much. Still not sure why though!LOL. I'm doing great. Kids are home from college and I'm still working to get mine. Tid happy to see you again. Every Chinese New Years I think of you. I was so sad to hear about the death of Linn Haynes! Man you just never know do you? Well I'm home for a few weeks so anyone want to email me with their lifes story feel free.

i have read they have redone the movie sword stained with royal blood into a television series. has anyone seen it? i know where i can get it from but just like with the new five deadly venoms movie casting is important i am curious as to who played these roles especially the chiang sheng part. i think i just might get it
Well... It's not like they've "redone" the movie. Sword Stained With Royal Blood is a wuxia novel by Jin Yong (aka Louis Cha). The Bi Xie Jian movie from 1981 is just one of the adaptations.
The series is absolutely fantastic. But it's wuxia, not fu. If you want to check it out, you should keep that in mind.
As far as I'm concerned, the series' cast is superb.
I think I've read that the CC movie covers only a relatively small portion of the original story, though. (Haven't seen it yet.)
So the characters that are central in the movie may not be as prominent in the series. The Wen family of course does play a key part but most members of the Wen clan have a relatively limited onscreen time since the story is so complex and characters in it so many. But Yuan ChengZhi (Philip Kwok) and Wen Qing Qing (Candy Wen) are of course the main protagonists. This is what they look like in the Mainland series from 2007:
(Played by Huang Sheng Yi and Dou Zhi Kong)
It HAS been quiet lately. I am waiting for the Region 1 Dragon Dynsaty releases of the Shaw classics. Hey, did you see the new Jackie Chan/Jet Li movie? I enjoyed it very much.
Wow its been awhile. I still check in from time to time tho. Been pretty hectic out here in CA. Had to move to help out some friends, then moved back and get back to workin, 1 stolen car and a major crash, and alot of arena football watchin lol.
Good news is i finally saw house of traps and life gamble. Glad to see everybody is still around.
Dang,
I still haven't seen House of Traps! It is the only Venom movie that I don't own or haven't seen. I've got to get a copy. Where did you buy yours from? Was it worth the wait? I have to buy Spearman, Marco Polo again cause the got scratched and cracked.
Trixie
I liked house of traps, now the traps werent....clever, except one but im not spoilin anything. It just played out nice i thought. I may be mistaken but you can get it at hkflix.com. I myself barrowed it from a friend that i work with and go to class with, and ripped it. Hope you find it.
Hi,
Certainly is nice for all of the old tymers to check in once in a while. Hope all is well with you and yours. I'm just fine! How is your movie coming along? Seems lots of clips are now on youtube. But you still have a high spot on Google when you type in five deadly venoms and that's a good thing. I miss talking on a regular basis. Josie and I were so tight and talked almost every weekend. I know I'll never find a venom fan that dedicated and willing to talk all day about them but I'm getting along without it. Keep in touch when you can and know that we love ya!
Trix
Thank you soo much for the kind words. Yes those were days and I truly believe we all played a part to getting the site where it is today.
Remember Venoms Sweepsweek - the countdown to the documentary. We truly have found a fandom that will never die. Granted, life evolves, work, family, and this will always be here.
There still are great plans for this site. Once the Region 1 DVDs get released, most pages will be updated, and there is still hopes of getting in touch with remaining Venoms, there families, locating more footage and pictures. See it's very hopeful.
hi everyone, after reading some posts i realize (again) that i really need to stop by more often like i used to, and i feel good knowing that there are people who still come here
