George, everything you said is what i've been thinking and feeling for a long, long time. I hope that Telemundo realises it soon, not just for their sake but for ours as well. They could have so many more loyal viewers if they would stop cutting up their novelas and showing a few more Mexican ones. Of course there are many quality Mexican novelas that don't have "Televisa" stamped on them!
I don't think that bringing novelas with Itati Cantoral (bless her little heart) and Gaby Spanic is suddenly going to win over many of us Mexicanos (or others) who are devoted and loyal to the actors and shows of Mexico. I wish the networks would lead us by example and show unity and care for all of us who are part of the spanish-speaking (or interested in the)
community. Ahem, I now step off my soap box.
