Well...

Daniela and Mauricio, after much drama and many misunderstandings, FINALLY got together! It was so freakin' romantic that I feel sorry you missed it. Renata orchestrated it all...she got Daniela to go ask Mauricio to be her partner in the dance contest and as soon as they were together she played THEIR song. They kisses, hugged and made up. Daniela warned Mauricio that she wanted to do things right this time: no lies, no keeping secrets, etc. Unfortunately, Mauricio's ALREADY messed up (shoot) by not telling Daniela that Paola lives in his house.

Daniela and Mauricio went to her house to tell everyone they were back together and Poncho vehemently opposed---at first. After Dona Chelito put him in his place and defended Mauricio he consented to their being in a relationship but warned Mauricio that he'd be keeping a close eye on him so he'd better not mess up.

Fabian saw Daniela and Mauricio as they were kissing outside her house (Mau had to go to work) and, like the big jerk he is, walked right into the house all the while smirking at both the lovers. Of course, Enriqueta and Marilyn (dumb, naive girl that she is) welcomed him with open arms. Renata gets VERY suspicious and tells "the group" (which now consists of Daniela, Marilyn, Mauricio, and herself) that she does not trust Fabian at all and she sees right through them. Mauricio tells Daniela that he's proud of her and that he always trusted her and knew that she wasn't like all the other sluts he's been with (well, he didn't say it EXACTLY like that but...LOL).

Paola calls Marilyn tells her he needs to talk to her again. Marilyn tells her she's busy now that Fabian's interested in her and when Paola asks if she's not interested in Andres anymore, she shrugs her shoulders and says she's not sure but she's not going to worry about it at the moment. As Marilyn hangs up the phone she mutters "first you ignore me and NOW you want to talk? Well, screw you" (excuse me if the translation is a bit off).

Renata, la Nena and Daniela go shopping for the perfect dress and, although earlier she had decided not to buy a dress for Marilyn for being so dumb, Renata relents and buys one for her anyway.

Mauricio tells his father that he and Daniela are finally together. His father is neutral and asks him if, even after everything that's happened, he still thinks it's worth it to be with her. Mauricio answers "yes" and his father gives him his blessing. When Mauricio tells Armando that he would like to bring her to his apartment so Daniela can meet him...Armando admits he'd love that.

Meanwhile, the two vipers (Fabian and Paola) get together and she comments that she didn't know he was going out with "nacas." Fabian admits that it's fun and, beside he wants to annoy Mauricio now that they're not friends anymore. He tells Paola about the bet he made with Mauricio (about "conquering" Daniela and proving that she's just like all the other "nacas" he's dated) and Paola jumps at the idea. That would be PERFECT. That way, Mauricio would dump Daniela and go running back to her (in my humble opinion, he'd keep running the OTHER WAY...LOL). Paola and Fabian make a pact to do everything they can to break up the two.

Afterwards, Mauricio calls a family meeting (meaning, he asks to talk to his mother and Nilda) and tells them he's gotten back together with Daniela and THIS TIME he wants his mother to accept her both into her heart and into her home. Because of this, he asks that his mother tell Paola to go somewhere else, since it would obviously be a bad idea for Daniela to visit and have Paola there (it would make things "awkward"). Paola overhears and gives an Emmy-winning performance that goes something like this: "Poor me (sob, sob) all I did was love you and now you want to throw me out with only the clothes on my back (sob, sob). I'm not asking that you come back to me...I DO have dignity, you know (ha ha ha!). Besides, I won't oppose you and Daniela's relationship (sob,sob, wipe away tears) or your happiness all I ask is that you give me a few days to go somewhere else (yeah, we know what happened the LAST time she said that...she and her family ended up staying more than a month). Tia, you can't let him just kick me out...please help!"

Mauricio, of course, doesn't believe a word that she says and tells his mother that he's counting on her to support him. Regina smiles and says, of course, and afterwards runs to console a "sobbing" (a.k.a. theatrical) Paola. The crazy b**ch tells Regina that they can talk, later...right now she's just too "emotional" (translation: let me get my thoughts together and find out how to kill Daniela so I can drag my ex-boyfriend kicking and screaming back into my arms...or maybe I should just kill them both!). In any case, the ignorant Regina swallows every word and tells Paola that she "understands" more than Paola will ever know (yeah, as if you can compare your husband of 20+ years leaving you for a girl 20 yrs. his junior to your son leaving his crazy/thieving/tricking/prostitutin' girlfriend for his true love...sure Regina).

Andres and Camila meet each with each other at Hakemate to work on the Mirage project and both admit they feel a weird connection (and no, it is not SEXUAL people! I would have to send a nasty letter to Argos if they wasted a perfectly good boy by making him fall in love with his half-sister...besides, it would be TOO cliche!). Camila is feeling the same connection that Mauricio did when he became friends with Andres.

Back in Claveria: Isabela cries over Osvaldo leaving without giving her a chance to tell him that she's sorry she broke up with him but admits that things happen for a reason so she WON'T go looking for him. Meanwhile, Daniela finally tells Andres that she wanted to let him know before Marilyn came to him with lies. Andres tells her to get to the point and Daniela admits that she and Mauricio are back together. Andres' answer?: he opens the door and asks her to leave. Daniela is hurt and asks "are you kicking me out of your house?" Andres replies "not only that, I'm kicking you out of my LIFE."

Next time: As we all know, regular programming will be interrupted by Sept. 11 coverage (which is fine with me since it means we can discuss this week's episodes more deeply) but they did give us great tidbits about what will happen on Thursday. The dance contest is on and somebody whose last name starts with a "G" has won along with her partner. It's probably Daniela, but Marilyn immediately jumps up and down with joy because she's POSITIVE it's her. Meanwhile, Andres' mom Isabela gets extremely sick (it's life or death now folks) and her friend (darnit, what's her name? La Nena's Mom) calls someone to try to get in touch with Armando La Valle. Will Andres FINALLY find out that he is what he despises more than anything in his life: a La Valle? Will Daniela win the dance contest? Will Marilyn break her damn legs for trying to imitate a grasshopper? What about Paola: will she finally give Mauricio the happiness he so desires by ending her miserable life? P.S. Who wants to start taking bets on how long Daniela and Mauricio will be happy? What about the length of time it will take for the first misunderstanding to occur? Oooh! And I bet we can guess that the misunderstanding will involve Fabian, Paola, and their dog Toto too!
