the significance of the FAQ

hi, welcome to the qbasic forum.

thank you for coming to the FAQ... hopefully before you have a simple question like "where can i get qbasic?" or "what is a syntax error?" or basically any other question that starts a new thread, you will check the faq first to see if your question has already been asked and answered.

while the forum has good people on it that are happy to answer your questions, it gives some of them (one can't speak for everyone) a sense of futility when asked the same questions over and over ...and many of the people here have been here a *long time*... knowing that the answer is a few clicks away in the FAQ.

also, as the FAQ has been lovingly created and maintained by mac (not to mention everyone else who has contributed to it) so that you can be helped Without Even Waiting for a response... it can get depressing to go to all the effort just to have it ignored...

again, welcome to the forum, please bear these things in mind, and hopefully all your questions will be answered, including Many of them right here in the FAQ.
