The new ( and improved ) forum was working just fine for me this morning. Now I'm getting this message again.
database connection failed. Please check your database configuration in include/db/config.php. If the configuration is okay, check if the database server is running.
I went a bit further than clearing cookies and cache and did a disc cleanup and defrag. Not sure if it helped, but I'll leave this page open in another tab for a bit. LOL!
I just got e-mail from Tim. Still not working for me...

So I don't know what to do to try and correct the problem.
Tim asked if I was always getting the error message. This almost makes me feel like we have been banned!
Odd indeed. Just in case, I've "de-activated" DNS on my server

So no one should still be redirected to here, unless you've not cleared browsing history/files in Internet Options!
The config error has to do with the database connection for the Phorum software. Again, maybe that is cached somewhere, as I had a setting wrong on it last night, but the forum has been working fine for me ever since I edited it.
There may be the odd hiccup until DNS fully propogates etc...
