I noticed the main forum has been pretty flaky today. Slow and sporadic error messages.

we already challenged the new host with too many MySQL database connections open. I think we might have crashed the MySQL server process on that machine.

We will have to look into that. To see how we can optimize the number of datbase processes being created without compromising much of the speed.

9 times out of 10, I see this error message;

Warning: mysqli_connect() [function.mysqli-connect]: (42000/1203): User pmwf already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in /usr/www/users/pmwf/Phorum/include/db/mysql/mysqli.php on line 81
The database connection failed. Please check your database configuration in include/db/config.php. If the configuration is okay, check if the database server is running.

At least it's not just me.
