was an error message on the Phorum and shortly after, the www.pmwf.com took too long to respond. I am posting this here, so it is documented in case something is really wrong. Here is the error message I got:

Warning: mysqli_connect() [function.mysqli-connect http://www.pmwf.com/Phorum/function.mysqli-connect> ]: (42000/1203): User pmwf already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in/usr/www/users/pmwf/Phorum/include/db/mysql/mysqli.php on line 81 The database connection failed. Please check your database configuration in include/db/config.php. If the configuration is okay, check if the database server is running.

Best regards

Thank you Adam, I just made a post at the Phorum and >>>>

have posted the link to this Backup forum over there. I hope our host will deal with the problems. It seems that the server is not down, but running intermittently... not a good sign.

Good night all!

Same here. Now PMWF is down as is TimeZone, which makes me worry >>>>

since both are now on the same host. Did the PMWF error take down TZ as well? Yikes...

I think it could have also been TimeZone that >>>

created too many MySQL connections. At least that is what I hope happy.gif

The server is up and down... but I am quite sure that >>>

they had to reboot. Running out of database connections is not a good thing, for any server.

However reaching the limit of a parameter (open MySQL connections) should not bring a server down. That is why parameters have a limit or threshold.

I really hope that there is something else wrong and that it will not affect us anymore.

If ever a forum guru needed a break, it's you my friend. Hopefully it's temporary and easily resolvable.
