Parental Advice - If You Could Start Over

Soccer Dad

I am a soccer dad of a U6 boy in Cobb county. I played soccer competitively so my inclination is that my son do the same if he wants too).

My question is for soccer parents out there today, what would you do differently if you could do it all over again?

Move to an academy program faster?
Avoid an academy program all together?
Train less, play more variety of sports?
Stay away from travel teams?
Any club teams focus more on youth development than others?

Just curious, I know once your in the system (GA Soccer) awhile you probably grow a little wiser and more reflective. Any comments are appreciated.
