Response to Load of you know what.

Despite what you may think, unless your child is the "best of the best" the schools do not come beating down your door! I have an older daughter that is speaking to schools now. Will she get a scholarship? Yes. Will it be a D-1 school? No. Could she have played D-1 had we made more of an effort to put her in ODP or ECNL, etc.? Yes, at a smaller D-1, not a UGA, UNC, etc. These are the facts folks.

In addition, when contacting schools, you have a much better chance of catching their attention if you play on a highly ranked, competitive team. ECNL and ODP DO matter, as every prospective athlete form you fill out at colleges asks about this. Please don't be fooled and have your kid miss out!

We have a younger daughter as well and have learned from our mistakes (really lack of knowledge) from our first. We will definitely make different decisions and choices to put her in the best position possible for her soccer future.

Not trying to argue, just shedding some light as we can speak from firsthand experience.
