I wouldn't name them so they can be trashed but ...

There are at least two girls' and two boys' teams currently playing that have already played at Nationals. Keep in mind that this was prior to the ECNL era that has generally weakened all the top girl leagues.

I would think all four of these teams have a fair shot at making it again. So the little Tophat Squidgets parents (or whatever they are called) just need to cool down until they actually accomplish something. Have they evn won a state cup yet???

No, you are NOT the most likely team to make it to Nationals. Until your kids have been to Regionals, you will not realize that no matter how good your team is, it takes a little luck to win a tournament like that.

Having said that, this year may be different for girls since ECNL has watered everythig down so much ... maybe ... it's too hard to say if these girls intend to play in the National Championship Series or not since they could play both ECNL and NCS.

I hope the Squidgets do well, but the parents need to be quiet.
