college. We want him to focus on his education. I think most parents feel this way. For those that can balance soccer and excellent grades and test scores- that's great! Kudos to them. But we want our son to focus on getting into the best college for him, succeeding there, and having the best opportunities after graduation. We're glad he played soccer for so many years- it helped shape him into the person he is and will become, it helped develop his fitness, his ability to work with others and his competitive drive. Now, we'd like him to take those skills and focus them on other aspects of his life.
