Please stop with your obvious agenda. Let's be real, DA didn't come out the gates flying. It is now only taking root. Looking at GA, I would say the 95s are the first year where 90% of the best players in that age group are playing DA. You think everyone was sold on it in year one? No. Look at GA again. AFC and AFU weren't close to many of the RPL teams out there. Even Concorde wasn't stocked with the best in the age group, though they had some as always. I would imagine this was the case nationally, plus, it costs an arm and a leg for travel. As recently as last year, the AFU teams didn't have the best talent throughout the roster because many of the best players in the age group chose to stay put. The point is, every year, and this year proves itbest, more and more of the best players are choosing DA, so to judge results, whatever you're looking for, on 5 years is foolish. Whether most DA clubs can offer it free will determine the success of the program. And if you think the USA will compete internationally after 5 years in anything, you are just not as smart as you think. We're behind in science and math as well, and what you look for in measuring programs aimed at improving your standing is progress. No program will vault the US to #1 (in Science, math, soccer, etc) in 2 or 3 years. So stop with your agenda and make the decision for your kid in alignment with your values and perspective, leaving the rest to do the same. No need to sell your agenda to everyone else. If it makes you feel better, you are right, and everyone agrees with you, okay?
