unfortunately, the majority of club coaches coach club for the money when they should be coaching to help develop players and their talent and help give the players the best opportunities possible going into the collegiate level. Their is no shame in helping your son/daughter out by promoting them yourself. Whether you are the one promoting your kid, or a club coach or high school coach, all they want to see or hear is proof that your kid can and will be an asset to their collegiate program. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity for your kid so help promote them any way you can and have your kid get heavily involved as well so they understand how to be assertive and proactive early on. PS-I went through the division 1 recruitment process back in the early 2000's so hope this helps somewhat. Best of luck!
