My daughter plays academy soccer on one of the top teams in Ga. She has attended several camps from age U9- U12. Sometimes it seems that parents have one idea of a successful camp and kids have another. One camp in my home town that she attended (u9) she still talks about. She says she learned a lot from they nice college girls from 9-12 pm and then got to swim at the campus indoor pool and play video games. They came back to the fields and played small side games from 3-4:30. She could even tell me the moves she learned "the maradonna" At the end of the week the camp instructor gave you a well thought out evaluation on your child and a picture of her "camp team". (I still have it).

We have since gone to other camps that are "well recognized". Duke, North Carolina, Ralph Lundy. Her team has won a lot of games and tournaments. This summer on the drive back from her first "overnight" camp. I asked how did it go? "Fine". Etc.. You know the drill when they reach tween. I asked what has been your favorite camp so far and what did you like? Sure enough it's still that small home town camp with the pool.

This is our final year of Academy and based on the forum I'm wishing for "Ground Hog Day".. I never want it to end!
