So let me get this straight- Man U lets a hard working, tireless, healthy forward go and brings in a washed up has been that hasn't been healthy in like four years. Am I missing something here?

Man U hoped to get Ronaldo to stay put or get another big name, so they ignored Tevez and the fact that his contract was ending.

When Ronaldo left and there was not "next big thing", they rushed to give Tevez a huge deal, only by then it was too late.

So, they lost both Ronaldo and Tevez. They now have Berba, who's not done much of anything and Rooney who can't really carry the load all by himself, despite his great skills.

So, Owen was the next available guy, who's been pretty lackluster since leaving Liverpool 6 years or so ago.

think that you know what your talking about. Micheal Owen is one of the greatest goal scorers the game has ever seen he is no wash out. He has been unlucky bye quite a few injuries. But i want you to watch next session i assure you that he will be in the top five most goals scored bye any body in the league.

Owen WAS one of the best, so was Ronaldinho but we are not living in the past. In order to get into the top five goal scorers for next season he is going to have to play most of the season. I bet anything he gets hurt again.

Ok fair enough but right now owen is in full strength and if he gets
injured fair enough they are barley spending any money on him in the first
place but if he does stay injure free all season than he is very
capable of doing fantasticly like he has done in the past. So it is a
win win situation. All so it is not like he is going to be the only striker
they are going to buy this summer, you can exspect more buys bye united
this transfer season.

They only signed him after Real Madrid swooped in and stole Benzema from them. If they had signed him this never would've happened. As a Man U supporter, I hope Owen can find his form again and have an injury free season, but that's being VERY optimistic.

berbatov is a lackluster waste of salary..no hustle, no recovery, etc.

tevez leaving hurts, but clears the way for others in the system to advance

owen is a name with skill, but how much is left n those hurt legs is the question
glad to see ronaldo go (sorry, fellow reds) but his ego was about to become a problem in that he was refusing to surrender the ball and work sir's system

anyway, i just hope my man city neighbors do not remember my number because the phone will be ringing when they learn tevez is gone, too
