So anyone know what really happened with them leaving the Rome match?

I wasn't there and no nothing about the team, but I am certain about what happened

Some pouty coach for Alexander thought his team was being treated unfairly in a game. So he made them all leave. Very pathetic.

Don't ASSume anything if you weren't there. I know why and frankly it's none of your business.

it really was a pouty coach. If you had a better reason, you'd post it.

Just a coach looking out for the safety of his players. Bogus foul on keeper, smartass ref, non regional game. Not worth risk with 4th seeding for playoffs on line. And that's all I have to say about that.

There are some potentially major repercussions for pulling a team off the field during a game, per GHSA. Up to a $2500 fine (imagine asking your principal to cover that one), probation for the sport, forfeiting the game and potentially being kicked out of GHSA for a year.

I don't imagine too many ADs would look kindly upon having to deal with this mess.

At least next time they'll know better than to put a crybaby coach on the field.

Potential Rough Play

"Play continued momentarily but the Alexander coaches sensed potential rough play that could lead to further disqualifications and they decided to pull the players off the field and end the non-conference game early."

BS. That game was hardly rough. Both sides weren't that physical.

The call on the keeper was correct. Cussing the ref earned one girl the red card. Alexander has no excuse.
