Re: Rained out! No score for this post May 9 2012, 8:55 AM
what are the rules regarding playoffs if there are rain outs?
Re: Rained out! No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:02 AM
The state has specific rules requiring rain prevention.
Actually, rain-outs are unlikely. Lightning is another story. I'm sure every attempt will be made to play the games, in spite of potential delays. Anonymous
FOUR HOUR drive for a 6:30 game during No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:06 AM
end of course test (EOCT) week. I hope to goodness we play this evening, because the kids are leaving around 11 and some of us parents are leaving around 12:30.
Re: Rained out! No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:07 AM
well whatever, lightning-outs... do these game have to be played to completion tonight? There are a few teams that are traveling a long way, and it is a school night with AP tests and EOCTs. I'm sure GHSA has a contingency for this, but I have no idea what it is.
If they CAN'T be played tonight, they won't. No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:43 AM
They'll certainly make every effort, but they may have to be played on a subsequent date.
Rain will be gone in Atl metro by game time No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:45 AM
south ga, may still have some, but its not looking like that much. Lightning another story, but usualy that move on quick enough. Bring your ponchos. Water your grass.
MOST GAMES WILL BE PLAYED...so post 'em up No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:07 AM

No way Wayne beats Hooch or Richmon Hill beats John's Creek. This is more accurate:
Can't Miss Picks - Don't be scared to comment No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:23 AM
5A: (Average class this year - relatively speaking)
N Cobb 1
Mill Creek 1
Milton 6 (best team to not win a championship this year...wait and see next week)
E Coweta 3
N Gwinnett 2
Collins Hill 2
4A: (best classification this year)
Richmond Hill 4
Union Grove 2
N Paulding 1
Starr's Mill 0
Greenbriar 3 (closest gamed played at a high level tonight all classes)
Big Mac 4 (best game of the day all classes)
Locust Grove 1
West Laurens 1
Eagles Landing 1
St. Pius 127
Spalding -3 (nothing against Spalding but St X could beat a lot of college teams)
2A (Least talented class top to bottom)
Dublin 3 (can you imagine a final four with a team as weak as Dublin?)
Jackson Co 1
Vidalia 4 (Vidalia upsets Dawson and earns the right to be mercy ruled on Saturday by GAC)
Blessed Trinity 4 (I know everyone thinks the spread will be bigger, but it won't)
St. Vincents 1
River Ridge 4 (St Vincnets has been good in the past but had weaker results and RR is surprisingly good)
North Oconee 2
Westminster 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10
1A: (class that will end up with the least talented final four)
Fellowship Christian 4
Walker 0 (how the mighty have fallen)
Strong Rock 1
Athena Academy 2
Savannah Country 3
FPD 10 (Won't get past final four...good riddance!)
Savannah Christian 0
Holy Innocents 2
Paidea 3 (Best game of this round for this class)
funny No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:44 AM
you comment about Milton makes no sense...you have East Coweta beating NG which means East Coweta would play at Milton and Milton has already beat them 9-0 at East Coweta. I agree they struggle when it comes to pressure, but don't think East Coweta will have enough to make it competitive.
Re: funny No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:51 AM
I said next week not next game.
So if your predictions hold true next week Milton would No score for this post May 9 2012, 1:37 PM
play EC at EC and we both think they win that game but who would they play in the semi-finals?
We both agree it will be either Collins Hill or Lassiter and that will be a very good game. Either team will be a tough test again for Milton if it's the Hill they would go to Milton but if it's Lassiter then Milton would have to go to the Frank and that is not an easy place to play.
Semi-finals always seem to be the most difficult game. Once you're thru to the finals the players and coaches are not as wound up. I think Milton finally gets to the last match and wins their first State Title this year. They have been very close for many years losing to the eventual champion or runner-up time after time but this year they may have that magic touch.
But they have to win tonight so GO EAGLES. anonymous
One thing is for sure No score for this post May 9 2012, 1:59 PM
you shouldn't bet your house on it (Milton winning it all)...
Game would be at East Coweta No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:59 AM
Result would probably be more like 5-0 in a "playoff atmosphere"
Correct No score for this post May 9 2012, 1:31 PM
my error, didn't realize EC was a #1 seed - why do you think they will be 4 goals better? The only think in my opinion would be Milton taking them lightly since they hammered them so badly.
Agree with most No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:49 AM
Woodstock at Harrison; WS won in regular season 3-0, not sure why you think there will be a five goal swing in that game.
Re: Agree with most No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:52 AM
I think Harrison played down that game. They are capable of a lot more. Woodstock played way over their heads. 2-0 is a fair expectation.
Except that Harrison also lost to Centennial ... No score for this post May 9 2012, 10:16 AM
Woodstock just beat them too. I think this will be an even game only because of coaching. Otherwise I think that Woodstock would win pretty easily.
How does Spalding score 3 on St. Pius? No one else has. No score for this post May 9 2012, 9:54 AM Anonymous
Look Carefully No score for this post May 9 2012, 10:00 AM
Spalding is predicted to score a negative three (-3)

Especially when it's a minus sign.
Yeah No score for this post May 9 2012, 11:03 AM
You WAY over-rate St. Pius and 5A is much stronger than 4A.
AAAAA is a joke No score for this post May 9 2012, 11:15 AM
for starters, just look at McIntosh (AAAA) vs. AAAAA. You guys are weak!
Funny. No score for this post May 9 2012, 2:23 PM
You must not watch much soccer.
AAAAA questions/comments - Agree with most, 3 exceptions. No score for this post May 9 2012, 11:58 AM
I think N. Cobb v Northview will be closer. More like 2-1 or 1-0. If it stays 1-0 I think it could go either way.
I don't agree with the Milton comment. I know younsaid next week not next match.
I think NG gets by EC, but it may be close.
What did you say about FPD? lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No score for this post May 17 2012, 8:53 AM Anonymous
Woodstock will beat Harrison No score for this post May 9 2012, 2:04 PM
Not sure why Harrison keeps getting the thumbs up because Woodstock will show up to win.
