Why are some of the large clubs boycotting the Academy Cup this year?

worse case scenario for them they get relegated but still get a top 12 seed for U13 State Cup and even avoid playin games. Oldest trick in the book.

These Club's top teams are already in the Top Bracket for the Fall. If you think they are avoiding the Academy Cup to prevent being place in Classic II/Athena B/C you haven't seen them play.

Seriously, why would they deny these young athlete their first chance to compete at the State Level?

They're hiding them because they're not good enough and use their connections to have a reason to keep them until they recruit better players developed at smaller clubs.

These Clubs top teams are definitely good enough. Thats not it.

There has to be a reason. What is it.
