I guess that means your team sucks. Second team is second team no mater where you play but 8,000 players your simply rec level and will be treated as such but many of you wont know the difference .... Chelsea ....what a laugh

The club had several state champions. It is a new year. Let the kids play soccer and have fun. I hope you remember that the players you are referring to are kids. Let them enjoy the experience.

How will SSA attract better Talent?

They don't have the athletes or the coaches to produce top teams. How will they attract better Talent?

Bigger issue is "talent retention"

When you have a base of 8,000+ players and a gigantic geographical area then it's safe to say that genetic distribution of talent will work for you. Issue is keeping those players from leaving. That's the real issue.

Your analogy doesn't make sense

If all of these clubs were already merged and it was simply putting a new name, new logo and Chelsea color on them then yes your analogy would work.... but that's not correct.

A more accurate description might by "taking an auto parts store, a machine welding shop, a paint shop, a body shop, and a performance car tuner and putting them together under one roof"... that could create something far better than simply repainting an old car.

But you were looking for an accurate portrayal of what what has occurred with merging these clubs together, were you? Tryouts are over so you may want to save some of your ammo until about April/May.

The question is what has changed since these 6 clubs go by the same name

So far, it looks like a paint job on a car to me.

Did they make coaching changes or consolidate locations or even consolidate some of the teams?

Consolidate locations? As in close down fields, why?

Consolidate teams: name a team that didn't change?

Coaching changes: as in fire coaches? Or improve existing staff while augmenting with new and talented resources?

So let me get this straight - 6 clubs, Harpeth, North, South, Northwest, West and Central

all enter their own select teams in whatever division thay play in. They never combine all 6 teams to make one SSA Elite Chelsea team? So what's the point?

I hope you are under 13 years of age. If not, get a job that may keep you busy. If you have this much time to go after another club, you need to get a life. Worry about yourself and your kid, not what everyone else is doing.
