Our team plays at McCurry during Atlanta Cup. Any suggestions for the best route coming from north of Atlanta to avoid traffic from the Atlanta Motor Speedway that weekend? Thanks!

our AC venue has been south of Atlanta 7 times, including Lovejoy and Griffin. Never had a problem with race traffic getting to games. Your first games are always Sat. and Sun. am. Races are at night, with grandstands opening early afternoon. We have had some traffic coming home from Griffin after the second Saturday game.

I would not expect McCurry to have a problem.

Avoid I-75 south and 19/41/Tara Blvd at all costs.

Traffic is always heavy on Tara Boulevard, but no worse during these race weekends.

Have you had a previous experience with race traffic?

That puts you closer to the race than you need to go.
