Can't believe they let them keep an Athena A spot. Judging by Atlanta Cup, this team is going to get smoked...

GSA is really bad as well. Saw them few weeks ago in SSA fall tournament. They will struggle to win 2-3 games.
However there was really no other teams to take their place. SSA Northwest hasn't won a game in two tournaments and ssa west is only a tad better.
I wonder how the AFU ECNL team is going to do?No score for this post

Two week teams does not consist of quality play. Sorry GK mom.
All AFU teams in the U14 will struggle this year big time!!!!No score for this post

There was such a mass exit of talented players to neighboring clubs that it will/is showing already. Just moving up players from Athena C and D level is not going to cover it up. Expect a rough year.

So tired of hearing about departure of players. May have girls from last years 2nd team with less skill, but at least they are willing to play like a team and not selfishly. With the new coach and willingness of girls to work together and learn, this team will only improve. Honestly think only one or 2 who left are actually missed. The team will be fine. This team probably connected more passes this weekend than in all the games they played last year. AND if it hadn't been for the ridiculous call of a line judge they would have played in the finals today.
Lovie, please come out of retirement and coach my son!No score for this post

Athena B Will be More CompetitiveNo score for this post

Athena B will be much more competitive than Athena A this year as far as the number of close, competitive match ups. SSA Central Premier and Concorde North are the weak links. SSA West wins the division and second place is a toss up.
There will be a good number of lopsided scores in Athena A especially when the top three NASA, SSA, and TH play the lower teams.
Too many questions in Athena BNo score for this post

Not sure it will be more competitive, but still not as strong as bottom side of Athena A. Bottom of B will still be the teams that just arrived, UFA, Ambush, and AFU by way of bringing mostly their Athena C teams to play in Athena B.
Odds are a SSA team will do well since there are almost 3-4 in every age group it seems.
