Well, I left a deposit at the Honda Dealer for a Silver Pilot EX-L RES. The wife is totally excited. We were getting ready to order an MDX, but the Pilot should save me about $5K.
The salesman claims there is "no one ahead of me" on the list, so it should be mine in about 5-6 weeks. He says it is scheduled to be built the week of May 19 (next week), so does it really take 5-6 weeks to get it in after it's built?
I've never bought a "high demand" car before, and the ordering process makes me nervous. There is no purchase order or agreement, just a deposit, so I have to depend on the dealership's honesty that I will really be getting it. They also said it would be at MSRP, with no add-ons, so we'll see.
Any information on accessories for the Pilot? I'm considering adding the towing package, after reading all the postings about towing at acuramdx.org. I have not been able to find any pricing information on the towing package, or if it will be availalble at the time of my Pilot delivery. Are there any good internet places to buy Pilot accessories, or it too soon?
