One reason to not get aftermarket leather

No respectable aftermarket leather installer will touch a car that has side impact airbags that expel from the seats. If you have it done, and they are not absolute experts at installing over the airbags, they may not function in a crash. Even worse, they could explode into your back which would easily kill you. And it would leave the installer open to many $$$ in liability.

IMHO, don't do it. It's not worth the risk.
