It's Honda or Toyota

IMHO there are only two full range car brands that I would consider buying, Honda and Toyota. My last 9 vehicles have been Toyotas and this one would have been one too, if only the Highlander had a third seat.

While you might pay a bit more for these brands you usually get most of this back at trade-in time and more importantly by receiving years of trouble-free driving.

Check out Consumers Reports recommended used vehicles, almost every Honda and Toyota model built the last 6 or 7 years is on this list. No other brands can match this. There is no reason to expect that the Pilot won't be on this list in a couple years too.

If the Pilot is out of your price range, consider the CRV or the Rav4.
