I think you are underestimating the model year thing. Normally a vehicle one model year older is worth at least a couple thousand less at trade-in time and it may even be greater where there is a substantial revision between model years. Sure the Pilot will be revised at some point in the future but we know that 2003 wouldn't be the last year before a revision.
The only valid comparison is between a 2003 Pilot and a 2003 MDX, unless you discount the value of a 2002 MDX to recognize that it is one model year older. |
