Rear view side by side.

Front view of V with Pilot

Painted body moldings. Handles are black though in both the EX and LX. LX has black mirrors.

Nice mean grille.

View from inside the V out looking at the Pilot. Notice how much higher that vehicle sits.

Some info:

3 trim levels
LX, EX, EX-L

Tires are Goodyear Integrity in sizes 235/70/16.

Navi has rear view camera.

Fog lights are accessories that require cutting of front bumper!

Sorry, no picnic table!

Do you know if there is any type of Rear A/C on the LX model? Like maybe a manual type mentioned below? I noticed it was mentioned there is a "Synchronized" dual A/C on the EX but no mention of anything on the LX. Thanks.

Did you go to where Honda's storing them after production?

Have you heard of any problems with production? I know the Canadian facility has had a few quality problems (Odyssey, MDX).

Is the Pilot also being produced in Japan? I sure wish the ones sold in the US were made in Japan.

I wonder if there is any possibility of actually buying one by the Fall? I'm currently driving a 15 year old VW (my wife has the 97 CRV) and I've been holding out buying something new (even though there is the continuous naging of my wife, family, friends). We have a 6 mo. old baby.

If I can't purchase a Pilot by the Fall, I'll have to get a Highlander. I think the Highlander is awsome, but I'd like the extra space the Pilot will provide. I hope Honda can keep up with quality production, so enough Pilots will be available.

It is reported that it will be built in Canada next to the MDX and Odyssey. The Ohio plant in the US will concentrate on the Element and the V will be built in England.

I think there should be minimal bugs with the Pilot as it takes the lessons learned from the Odyssey and the MDX to create this flagship SUV for Honda. There might perhaps be some slight issues but I believe the overall fit and finish of the product should be up to par for Honda quality and reliability.

Good luck with your next vehicle search. With 80,000 production Pilot vehicles available for the fisrt year , there will be an initial short supply but shouldn't last that long afterwards. Remember, this is a mass produced vehicle for Honda in the lines of the Accord. They have to make it available as much as possible.

... but you didn't answer the question in the title of the post. Is there something brewing for the April issue of CRVIX?

You did not answer where you took those pictures. In Canada or Ohio.
