I was hoping that the EX would land in the 28K range. 29+ (not including destination) isn't unreasonable when compared to the competition, but it gives the dealers a higher point to begin negotiations.

I guess that the LX and EX are still 'within' that range but just barely. The LX is a lot more than I counted on which means I will probably never have a shot at it. $27,360 for an LX model is just way too much for me and I am certainly disappointed. I guess I will probably be looking at slightly used Odyssyes in the future. For the money the Odyssey definitely meets our needs better. We shall see.

My dealership had the same reaction when I gave him the price list off the internet from Manchester Honda. I explained to him that pretty much you take the price of the Odyssey and add 1500 to 2000 for the 4 wheel drive system. A freind of mine works in the auto industry and says that is about the marginal cost for the 4wd system.
I have a 2000 Odyssey Ex with a bunch of Honda Accesories. I am getting 21 on trade for it. I really like most everything about it. I drive too far to work to make it practical for me. My wife is tired of being a minivan mom. So it is off to the Honda dealer for a pilot.
