I used VE Honda for my Pilot. I ordered my Silver EX-L late April with a build date of 6/14. Most dealers in the TC area are adding extras, with the exception of Buerkle Honda. I think you are buying yours from Jim Raff, correct? I was actually debating changing my order to a just a plain EX with cloth, but that would put me back to late July, and I already sold my car last month. I'm still kind of questioning my decision...no sunroof, 6-pack, etc, etc. How was your experience???

Yes, Anonymous, I have a deposit in at Buerkle with Jim. Initially, I had placed an order for an evergreen EX-L that was scheduled to be built in early May. However, the wife decided she liked the red a little better, so we were forced to switch our order a June build date. The change did not phase Jim - he just switched our name on the list and told us he would take care of the paperwork. I'll keep Vern in my back pocket in case something goes wrong with the deal.
Lumeister, I tried Burnsville Honda early on and I got the runaround from someone on their internet sales team. He told me that they could not take a deposit at that time and that most vehicles would come with extras or a "market adjustment".
David - Good point. I do not have a GM signed offer. If I get any guff, I'll take my business elsewhere.

From my experience, salesperson does not have power to sell the car. You have to get a signature from GM.
Here is what I found on consumer.pub.findlaw.com
Who should sign it for the other side? Either an authorized salesperson or a supervisor, the manager or the owner. If for some reason the person is not authorized, the contract might not be enforceable, and the dealership might refuse to deliever the car you thought you had bought at price you thought you had negotiated. A new car is a huge purchase. With that much money at risk, you should be sure that you've met the manager or owner, and that person signing the contract is authorized to sign......
Good luck.

It seem that after reading a lot of the posts that most of us have put a $500 deposit down. And only have someone's word on the price. I went back to the dealership and had my sales person who is also the internet sales manager put it down in a buyeres agreement. After reading the reply above I thing I will go back to the dealer tonight and get themanager to sign it to. Thanks.
