Can anyone explain how the VTM-4 Lock will work?

Does pressing the button keep the rear drive on?

The lock is only good to 18 mph

The way I understand the articles is that the lock button if pressed will for force the 2 rear wheel to act as a locked differential and will allow them to get 50% of the available torque. No low range. Which means if you get stuck and press the button you will get 3 out of the 4 pulling you out. That is pretty good considering my last jeep grand cherokee with quadra trac could only give you one front and one rear. Hope that helps
