Response to Re: Episode Review: "The Medarra Block"

Hi gang,

Ahhh ... The WONDERFULNESS of your review, Mr. Mitchell - you caught it "all," including the confusion?? "The Medarra Block" certainly does carry a lot of that "Huh?? Factor" .... but as you pointed out, there are still some really great scenes tucked inside this episode!

Oh yes, you flushed him out with your great detecting skills .... that's Norman Fell, Norman Fell .... as nefarious Karim (a.k.a. Stanley Roper from "Three's Company") - yup, one and the same!

Karim

Stanley Roper

And look at the guy who is second on the right in this French "HANGED MAN" movie poster .... uh-uh (as in "bingo" - he's worked with everybody out there twice ...) that's Norman Fell again, as "Gaylord Grebb," the representative of the "law" in this quite good New Orleans/Mardi Gras/ corrupt labor union politics movie. (I've heard this Don Siegel directed movie was the first M.O.W., but I don't know that as a fact.)

Oh, and look at the credits at the top - there's the lovely Vera Miles, too, who ALSO falls in the "worked with ....." category.

"Hanged Man - 1964" as Harry and Lois

and in "Castaway Cowboys - 1974" as Calvin and Henrietta

and in "Affair in T'sein Cha - 1965" as Rachel and Kelly

Do LOVE those "I SPY" CONNECTIONS!!

I'm going to be away for awhile visiting the Loring/Lovitsky (from White Russia) side of the family.
I'll post my "Medarra Block"" review when I get back and more "Nostalgia Classic I SPY and Culp TV Ads" ...

As always,
Tatia
