Response to Re: "the beads"

Hello, Becca and Tatia,

I think I have to agree with both of you on the "beads" in Lotus Eaters. I wrote to Marc Cushman about it, and he very kindly emailed me promptly back. He also thinks the word is "beads" and is related, just as you two wrote, to "Love beads", so I think that's got to be right. Thanks for processing this with me! However, the GAH episode "Devil" has Maxwell saying "beez", I would swear by it. Thanks, Tatia, for that nifty other definition of "beez/bees" found on your odd definition website.

As for double lines from "I Spy" to GAH, gosh, here's a couple off the top of my head:
1. "I'll get a job tomorrow, mom" after being woken up by Ralph after Maxwell was knocked unconscious: "Devil in the Deep Blue Sea".
2. Your "sausage" line reference already stated in "Lilacs" to O'Neil.
3. "Hats and horns" is used by Maxwell in an episode. I think the Carlini one.
4. Well, that similar beads/bees one

I think there's a couple more and I'll make sure to note them and report in when I catch them again.

Mona
