I remember watching the Emmys, during my mispent youth, in 66, 67 and 68 and seeing the obivous disappointment on Bob's face when Bill was announced as the winner, year after year. No matter what he said in, "The Book," he couldn't hide it.
I will admit that it was a time in our country's history that it was probably a better thing to slight a white man's achievement and celebrate a black man's similar achievements.
What bothers me more than, "Who won what," is the fact that Sheldon sold the show out after he and NBC agreed the show should run for at least another 2 years going into the 3rd season. We, all Forum readers, fans, contributors, etc, would have 50+ more episodes to watch on our DVD collections. Two years of ad-libs, great impprovs, locked rooms and who knows what else. This really annoys me.
