Here is a brief recap in case anyone is interested: Mr. Cosby did a monologue in which he mainly talked about flying with the Blue Angels and eating in Greek restaurants. When he was talking with Jay, he joked about his grandkids and his wife conspiring to keep him awake when he is trying to nap on the couch. He also had fun talking to the next guests who were three 10-year-old boys from Oregon who found woolly mammoth bones on their property. Jay mentioned the fact that Mr. Cosby is hosting the Playboy Jazz Festival tomorrow night.
On the latter, I came across this:
FATHER AND CHILD REUNION: Bill Cosby says he didn't even think twice about pulling strings to get his former "The Cosby Show" son Malcolm-Jamal Warner's band, Miles Long, a spot in the 29th annual Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend. "Malcolm has always been a fantastic person," says the longtime emcee of the PJF. Cosby, who lost his own son, Ennis Cosby, in 1997, says he couldn't be more proud of the progress his former TV son has made, receiving rave reviews with his band. "This is a moment for me," says Cos, whose group Cos of Good Music joins such acts as Etta James, Chris Botti and Arturo Sandoval on the bill. "It's wonderful because he and Ennis used to hang and played in this house together."
It is sad to hear him talk about Ennis, isn't it? But I did not know Mr. Cosby had his own band - anyone know about that?
I also saw an episode of The Cosby Show tonight where Mr. Cosby (as Dr. Huxtable), was talking about losing his brother James to rheumatic fever in childhood. Is this a true story? It was very sad.
Hope someone is out there reading this!
