Hi!!
I'm BACCKKK again - (yes, I do keep on the move)!! And I've just started catching up on all the great discussions going on. The wonderfulness (and the unending pool of knowledge) of our own "Ecclesiastical Jimmy" and "Sound System Recording Equipment Jimmy" continues to amaze me!! Go for yourself, Stanley!!!
So great to see all the things going on at the FORUM and to hear from Becca, Cate, B-L, Suite 635, Paully the Kid, and Sidda. (Hi again, Sidda - my question is still there

.... are you by any chance related to I SPY's illustrious Leon Chooluck?)
And Cate thanks again for your great photos and for leaving them up a bit longer, so we can "capture" them.
I'll start back to posting as soon as I get things settled back to normal here ...
But in the meantime, I couldn't let today pass by without a ....
to one and all ......
and especially to Fathers Cosby and Culp ...

The Culp Clan

and The Cosbys

and sadly the jazz album in memory of Bill's son, Ennis, who was so tragically killed.
Hello Friend: To Ennis With Love
And I found this regarding the album:
"
Hello Friend: To Ennis With Love by Bill Cosby .... After his son's tragic death in 1997 he decided it should be released as a tribute to Ennis. He said, "I'm just trying to find a way to always have proof that a wonderful young man was here" says Bill Cosby in the liner notes to HELLO FRIEND: TO ENNIS WITH LOVE. "
"Hello, Friend: To Ennis With Love is a touching, moving tribute to Bill Cosby's murdered son that chooses to celebrate instead of mourn. Cosby produced the album, enlisting Lester Bowie (trumpet), Philip Harper (trumpet), Bobby Watson (alto saxophone), Craig Handy (tenor saxophone), Cedar Walton (piano), Peter Washington (bass), Billy Higgins (drums) and Steve Kroon (percussion) to play songs by Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Eddie Harris and Bobby Timmons. The result is a swinging, friendly set of hard bop and soul-jazz that is tastefully played, robust and engaging -- it's a fitting salute to a departed friend. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide."
So to all the Dads out there - and to the memories of all the Dads no longer with us, but still in our hearts ....
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!
As always,
Tatia
