Well to give you some perspective, I've known the man 30 years and I've never told him how much he inspired me to become a writer. I think the fact that you are out there doing it is all that matters. One interesting note: Bob does not use a computer when he writes. He writes on the same typewriter, not even electric mind you, that he has used for decades. And if that has changed, then it's only been recently.
