Hi Becca,
Wonder if O.J. would agree ....
As to "PT 109," I believe it was Bob's first big movie.
For those of you who have never seen John Kennedy's Pacific adventures during WWII (or would like to see it again), you are in luck - it is scheduled to be on AMC on Sept. 23, 2 PM EST.
Here are a few photos of the movie, from the Loring Photography Archives.
PT 109 (1963)

Bob worked with Cliff Robertson again in 1985 (well at least they were in the same production) - in Ken Follett's WWII thriller, "The Key to Rebecca" (1985), which was made into a TV mini-series.
Bob played General Erwin Rommel, with a distinctively odd accent - in fact, it was an odd role all together! I don't think Bob and Cliff had any scenes together at all.
(Mr. Beardface, did Bob ever comment on his Rommel role? IMDB lists the filming location as Tunisia. Did he get to film on location - or back home in Hollywood? As I remember there was lots and lots of blowing sand all over the place - and all over
him - as he rode around standing up in a jeep?)
THE KEY TO REBECCA (1985)
Our Bob has had a bit of experience with Generals. He also played General Ed Woods in the comedy "Combat Academy" - which featured a very, very young George Clooney as Bob's son. From comments I've read in interviews with Mr. Clooney, the cast didn't get on all that well.

Here's the trailer for this one ....

Of course, personally, when it comes to Generals, I'll take the one with the red robe as part of his uniform anytime!!
Chuang-Tzu at his military finest
As always,
Tatia
