Actually, "Sunday in New York" was Bob's first movie, not "PT 109". He didn't think much of his part in it, but it was a big Hollywood movie of a long running hit Broadway show, so he was happy to be in it. Regarding Rommel, I recall he did enjoy playing the role, especially, the haircut. Yes, it was shot in Tunisia and it provided a lovely vacation for Bob, Candace and little Samantha.
