Response to A Very Different Mannix

Well, that was some great MANNIX music Jimmy!! Thanks for sharing that with us - and the sound quality was great. I don't know if you have checked out the TV Theme site I mentioned the other day, but they have 4 versions of the MANNIX theme, including an LP Remix. The sound quality is not as good as yours, but I think you'll enjoy exploring over there.

As to Mr. Beardface's informative note .... Bob as MANNIX??? - or - as NAPOLEON SOLO ??? Uh-uh - the mind just boggles!! ( Of course, I still would have liked to have seen him as Cmdr. Koenig in "Space: 1999." I think he would have done wonders for those spandex spacesuits of theirs ..... oh, yeah, and he would have added great depth and dimension to their dramatic stories -- uh-huh, yup, that's the reason!! )

Danny Was A Million Laughs ???

OK, then .... back to MANNIX!

RE: "I think Tatia needs to do some Photoshop magic to show us what it would look like if our own Mr. Culp had played
hardboiled cop Joe Mannix."

Just for you Mr. Beardface!! .... I really tried my best, but there are just too many outstanding differences going on here.

For example:

Mannix drove different cars during the different seasons of his show, but he is most remembered for his Toronado.

Ahhh, but Kelly was far more creative and eclectic in his transportation choices.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
And then there are those fashion statement choices ... here's Mannix in his Sunday best!!! Aargh!!
Our Kelly would never make a poor fashion choice, now would he ???
~~~~~~~~~~~~

And finally here's Joe Mannix with his gun ...

Well, it's obvious Bob's is bigger !
(P.S. And Mannix never wore a cowboy hat, now did he?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nope, too many differences here - I just don't think Bob would have excelled as hard-boiled Joe Mannix! We'll take him soft-boiled and over-easy!!
Any comments, anyone??
All my best,
Tatia
