Ahhh.... to answer your question B-L ....

Q. How many spies does it take to change a lightbulb? ....

We first have to understand the workings of the government here in Washington, D.C.

We will need to start with 10 senior government supervisors to determine the need for an oversight committee to decide if it is necessary to change the lightbulb.

If this is determined in the positive, we then proceed to .....

15 mid-level government employees to make travel arrangements for a meeting site for the oversight committee to gather and consult.

Once suitable and commodious accommodations have been arranged ....

12 low-level government peons will be needed to carry out the oversight committees final travel arrangements and individual needs and requirements.

Once the oversight committee has had their meeting (and accompanying banquet) ...

1 lone "administrative assistant" (there are no secretaries, anymore) will be needed to type up in triplicate the minutes of the meeting and provide copies to all members of the committee and their administrative assistants. (Most of the cute administrative assistants would have probably been "invited" to attend the meeting to provide "assistance" to their committee members, especially if the meeting location was held in some tropical paradise.)

Next, 24 senior government advisors will be needed to form and administer an "interview committee" to establish the criteria for hiring "interviewers" to pursue employment opportunities for future "light bulb changers."

Once these criteria have been debated and determined ...

19 "Interviewers" will be needed to be hired as contractors to screen future "light bulb changer" applicants and create application forms ....

1 lone "administrative assistant" will be needed to type up in quadruplicate the minutes of these meetings and provide copies to all members of the committee and their administrative assistants - and to any previous interested committee members, plus type up all application forms that will be created by the above committees.

Since the initial perimeters of this assignment states that the operation is to be performed by a "spy" (a.k.a. secret government agent), all paperwork is now transferred to "Covert Operations," where they will form their own in-house committees to review and debate the recommendations of the previous committees following the above established committee formats.

And this, fellow agents, is why we are all in the dark ..... !!

As always,

Tatia
